Sealy Lookout
For a superb view of Coffs Harbour take the road to the Sealy Lookout which is only 12 minutes drive from the Toreador Motel. On the way up the hill you will travel past working Banana Plantations.
Coffs Harbour Marina and Muttonbird Island
Visit the Coffs Harbour Marina and stroll past the yachts and the fishing boats to Muttonbird Island Nature Reserve. From here Humpback Whales can be observed on their annual migration from May to November. To get close up to the Whales you can take a cruise out into the Solitary Islands Marine Park.
Special cooked seafood is available from the Fisherman’s Coop on the wharf or alternatively why not experience the great views from the Yacht Club or the Deep Sea Fishing Club.
The Big Banana
The Big Banana is Coffs Harbour’s well known icon. You can’t miss it on the left heading North. You can take a walk amongst the bananas to a lookout, take an educational tour, play on the waterslides and the luge ride and visit a range of speciality shops.
The Pet Porpoise Pool
The Pet Porpoise Pool is an interactive experience that enables you to get close up to Dolphins, Sea Lions and other marine animals. There are daily shows and for the more adventurous the opportunity to swim with the Stars of the Show.
The Butterfly House
The Butterfly House offers visitors the chance to stroll among 100s of live Australian Butterflies in a tranquil all weather rainforest enclosure. The friendly guides will share with you the fascinating secrets of the butterfly’s life cycle.
Botanic Gardens
Located in the heart of Coffs Harbour the Botanic Gardens are one of the major regional Botanic Gardens in coastal New South Wales with displays of native and exotic plants including rare and endangered species. The gardens are open from 9 – 5 daily with no entry charge.
